it’s been nearly three years. when we finally arrived in jyväskylä, we were greeted by urho. i have never met him before, well not directly as hanna was 6 months pregnant when we saw last. now he’s a 2 1/2-year-old 24-hour source of entertainment. while most of the things haven’t changed, this one has – hanna and mikko now have their own little family, and the office room i used to sleep in, whenever i was staying with them has been transformed into a kingdom of teddy bears. change is inevitable, they say. but change also bares beauty – to take astrid here was one of the most important things i wanted to do and it proves comfort that she is not expecting anything fancy of this. it’s simply going back to a place where things happening in the present can be connected with those of the past.

And I knew just as surely, just as clearly, that life is not a work of art, and that the moment could not last.
