i listened to powell’s speech at the UN a couple of days ago. 70 minutes of trying to convince people that saddam needs to be wiped off the face of the earth. yeah, that saddam they were supporting 15 years ago. whenever powell says something, rumsfeld makes sure everybody got the point that it would be best to nuke a hole where iraq is right now. i’m sick of it, i’m sick of even seeing rumsfeld on tv. we (a.k.a. “the old europe”) might have some different experiences with war, devastation and bloodshed than good old rummi. and continued: “we try to keep zero civilian casualties” – right yeah, what you’re gonna shoot saddam with? i know some americans and either i only know (by some strange accident) the most intelligent of them or the current american government reflects the worst of what that country has to offer.
