wany gretzky once said “i owe everything i have to the game. the game owes everything it has to the fans”. yesterday was my last competitive game ever. we lost the third game of the regional finals and though it wasn’t the outcoming we expected or the best game i ever played – i felt it was a good game to end what started so many years ago. i’ve had some good and bad coaches, good and guys to play with but the game as a lifelong passion has always been simple. hockey bares no room for excuses – you go out there, skate and fight. while i don’t owe everything i have to the game, a big part of my heart will always be out there on the ice, where it all started.
