the journey is everything.

watched jerry maguire again and though tom cruise is far away from being one of my favourite actors i still love that movie. i love the simple philosophy it bares: be closer, start thinking about the guy next to you once again. i did an interview for an article yesterday, drove 50 km out in the wild, small roads, loads of snow, on the way i just started thinking “why the heck i didn’t do it over the phone.” two hours later i knew why. the guy i talked to was just incredible, a successful and still down-to-earth businessman who introduced me to his philosophy: care. care about others, but don’t forget yourself. care about youself but don’t forget others. as in jerry maguire: “i love my wife, i love my life and i wish you the same kind of success i had”. in the end it will be ashes to ashes and dust to dust – the journey is everything.
