A change towards better

I’ve have been working at an ice cream shop for about a week in order to get some money. Not particularly challenging for a person who has just finished her master’s degree. But this has really made me think how many people in this world just have to do what ever in order to survive till the next day. I am very lucky: I am free to choose where I want to work, how long, I feel still I can negoiate certain things and demand decend working condition etc. . I wish all the best and courage for the people who don’t have the possibility to make these kind of decisions and that is the majority of people in this world.

To me it is still easy here in Austria: I don’t have to worry about working permits, social insurance, unemployment money etc. since I come from a European union country. I want to welcome the new members joining European union tomorrow. May the days be better in the future for all of us.
