isn’t it weird how we associate ourselves with “things”. let me give you an example, yesterday my leasing company sent me a letter that my contract is about to end and that it’s time to decide what to do with my car (of course i will keep it). and then i started thinking back to november 2000, when i got it brand new. over the past six years it has carried me over 150.000 kilometres, to finland, sweden, denmark, belgium, italy, germany, the czech republic, and slovenija. that little blue car has seen me laugh and cry, it has been packed with bags and filled with silence. it has heard thousands of songs, seen tons of people – and gave me shelter at the stockholm harbour. it has felt the cold of a finnish winter and the heat of a tuscan summer. it made noises that drove me crazy, left me with repair bills that added to hundreds of euro. and still it always carried me on, like a trusted companion that would never let me down. carry me on for the roads to come!
i believe.
