i was thinking of it for weeks, if not months: writing to riittas mom. päivi is one of the kindest persons i ever got to know. when i went to see her parents for the first time, it was far from akward as it normally would be. they made me feel a member of the family so quickly, i hardly realized i hadn’t been before. after our break-up there was silence, but now i finally had the guts to write to her, because the respect and love i feel for her are among those things i wouldn’t want to leave unsaid in my life.
