so it’s over and i didn’t make it. after a little more than a third i had a little accident while carrying the bike uphills through the woods. i barely made it out there, biked for a couple of more kms but then felt dizzy and my batteries were just plain empty. my legs felt like i couldn’t go on for one more minute so i quit. i called astrid (yes i did take my phone with me..) and asked her what she thought. “that i still love you – no matter of you stop there and make it all the way down) and i guess it was what i needed to hear. preparing for all this over the last weekends was so much fun, with pauli and ed supporting me and leading me on the bike. it was fun because i had something to look forward. i am disappointed (because i hat to give up on things) but still i think i gained: confidence that i am loved, the enjoyment of having friends who were willing to help me and last but not least the though that – i tried. the disappointment will go, all the other things will stay. i am sure.<\/p>\n
