The New York Times to me always seemed like a myth, a building full of incredibly smart people &#8211; a lot smarter than I would probably ever be &#8211; doing an incredibly smart newspaper. Time of course passed way to quick and as we poured out of the editorial meeting I felt kind of sorry I had to leave so fast.
