It was the first time I could vote at home. Not only was it the first time in my life I could be in the middle of it as a journalist, but also to make use of my democratic right to vote. To express what I believe in. To express that I care about this place and its people. While some people here can&#8217;t be bothered to just make use of their voice, people in countries not as democratic and free as our nation don&#8217;t have a voice. History is full of people dying for what they believe in, people dying for something we get delivered to our doorstep: a free voice.<\/p>\n<p>I believe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A free voice.
