lesson number two: you don’t buy food in brussels. it is offered to you. yesterday i threw all the lessons i was taught as a journalist (you’re not there for the buffet, you’re there for a story) and joined fellow workers on a buffet-trip which lead us first to european comission (vernissage: chilean wine, mediocre cheese and salami cubes) to the permanent representation of austria at the EU (lecture about working law: we quit early, cause it was of no interest and the buffet yet to be opened) to the representation of trentino-alto-adige (lecture about something: crackers, white wine). afterwards i felt like a human-grasshoper cause we left a trail of emtpy dishes and glasses in our trail. a once-in-a-liftime-and-never-again experience.<\/p>\n
