i was just watching about the fall and rise of austria in the last century. and yes – even if we as a nation failed in 1938, i think that at least the majority learned its lesson. after ten years of occupation we guaranteed our eternal neutrality – and in 1956 during the hungary crisis, for the first time in its short life, this small country stood up for the values i hope will forever be ours: freedom of speech and opinion regardless of who you are and where you come from.
